Operational Assessment Back

The objective of a mine operational assessment audit is to identify elements of the mining, processing, or support functions that may be potentially improved in order to enhance the competitive position of the operation. WEIR's goal is to assist mine operators in their efforts to enhance competitive position, either by means of analyzing specific elements of an operation or by conducting audits of the entire operation.

For underground mines, our reviews range from assessing roof support requirements to recommending improvements to the overall mining operation. For surface mines, reviews range from recommending the optimum selection of equipment to more efficient methods of reclamation.

We also provide technical audits of the entire mining operation. These audits include all facets of an operation, such as coal extraction, preparation, quality control, maintenance, supply and inventory, environmental and reclamation compliance, cost accounting, and management or contractor efficiency.
